Bawachhora Lake And Waterfalls Chittagong

Bawachhora Lake and Waterfalls are located near Chhota Kamaldah Bazar in Wahedpur village of Mirsrai upazila of Chittagong district. The distance from Chota Kamaldah Bazar to the lake is only three kilometers. The lake is called as Bawachra Lake due to its proximity to the Permasi Rham. The natural beauty around the lake is very mesmerizing, like a picture perfected by an artist.

The sound of gushing water here is as sweet as the sound of a fountain. The sight of water cascading from the towering mountains on either side into the endless lake brings a wonderful sense of serenity. At the same time, the chirping of birds in the gap of mountain green takes away the mind. Tourists therefore do not make the mistake of floating the tiredness of civic life in the water of Bawachra Lake. Besides, on a full moon night, Bawachara Lake can be an ideal place for camping.

From anywhere in the country, you can go down to the south side of Chhota Kamaldah Bazar of Mirsarai Upazila on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway and go to Bawachhra Lake located at the foot of the hill just one and a half kilometers to the east. And it takes about 1 hour to reach Chota Kamaldah from Chittagong.

There are no residential hotels in Chhota Kamaldah or Mirsrai. So if you want to stay overnight, you have to go to Chittagong, Feni or Sitakunda Upazila.

Kamaldah Bazar has a famous food hotel called Driver Hotel. Apart from this, you will find different quality food hotels and restaurants in Chittagong or Feni. Among the food hotels located in Sitakunda, Saudia Restaurant, Apan Restaurant and Al-Amin are worth mentioning.
