Kaikertek Hat (Kaikertek Hat) has been held in Kaikertek area of Mograpara Union of Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj district every Sunday for hundreds of years . This haat, which cherishes the tradition of rural Bengal, is also known as Sunday's Haat to the local people. The Brahmaputra River flows by the side of Kaikartek Hut. Centuries-old architecture and riverside natural surroundings attract tourists alike, apart from the buyers and sellers who come to Kaikartek's market. People who are interested in traveling from far and wide including Narsingdi, Munshiganj and Comilla flock to this Kaikartek Hut.
The history of boat trading at the traditional Kaykartek Hut is almost two and a half years old. Although the market is open throughout the year, boats are bought and sold here only during the four months of Ashad, Shravan, Bhadra and Ashwin. Then hundreds of buyers and sellers came from surrounding districts to buy good quality boats.
Today, like all other markets, almost all the daily necessities are available here. You can spend a Sunday enjoying the river, the nature, the hustle and bustle of the bustling haat or the delicious sweets from this traditional haat located near the capital Dhaka.
