Betila Zamindar Bari (Betila Zamindar Bari) is a historical building located in Betila of Manikganj Sadar Upazila. Betila canal, which runs through the green surrounded Betila village, was once used by various merchant boats and barges. Dhaleswari and Kaliganga rivers were easily accessible through the Betila Canal. As a result, the Betila Canal was used as a safe route by the big merchants of that time. The homestead of Satya Babu, one of the foresters of the region, became popularly known as Betila Zamindarbari. In Ajparagaon, such grand buildings and displays of nobility were no less than zamindari to the locals.
No reliable sources have been found about the construction of the Betila Zamindar house and the course of events of that time. According to local residents Jyoti Babu, a banker from Calcutta, was the progenitor of the Betila Zamindar family. It is believed that he built this zamindar house for the convenience of jute business.
